into passed centuries. The way people lived, earned, clothed, spoke and
performed is quit distinct from how we do today. Our Earth houses numerous
tremendous sites of history. Let's walk upon the gallery of some historical
places around the world. These elegantly designed buildings depict the
brilliance of old people and gives the illustration of their efforts , artistic
mind and creativity as well.
1:Taj Mahal - India

As our Indo-Pak houses
lots of astounding historical landmarks, so let's began with one of its
fantastic creature. Taj Mahal meaning 'Crown Palace' is one of the great 7
wonders of the world. It is a marble mausoleum- an splendid architecture that
was built around 1652. This admirable building was constructed during Mughal
Empire on the order of Shahab-ud-din ,who when became an emperor was famed to
be known as as 'Shah Jahan'. The palace he wished to get constructed was built
in the memories of his third adorable wife Arjumand Banu Begam, known as Mumtaz
Mahal. This fascinating palace is located in india,in the city of Agra, which
is within the state of Uttar Pradesh. The palace itself is so scenic and is
constituted by gems and marbles. This alluring building took about twenty years
in it's completion. About 20,000 of workers including artisans and craftsmen,
were assigned the task of this beautiful construction, and do you know what?
Later these workers had their hands cut apart on accordance of the wish of Shah
Jahan, so that nobody could ever construct such a beautiful art. Taj Mahal is
regarded as the finest example of Mughal design, An structure with the touch of
Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indian architectural designs. In 1983, the Taj
Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage site. Currently this palace has became a visiting
place for public and it attracts large number of tourists as well.
2:Badshahi Mosque - Pakistan
Madshahi mosque or
Badshahi mosque -also known as Royal mosque is one among the foremost noted
mosques of the world that ranks as the second largest mosque of Pakistan and
fifth largest mosque of the world.The mosque possess seven prayer halls, by
which three are roofed with large prominent bulbous domes of white marble and
while other consist flat roof. The exterior of this building is beautifully
decorated with carving on red sandstone tiles. It was built under theMughal Empire within 2 years, 1671-1673. This unique and exquisite style was
constructed on the order of King Aurangzeb- son of Shah Jahan. The time when it
was completely designed, it stood to be the first largest mosque of the world,
and it had this fact up to 313 years. After the death of King Aurangzeb, his
son Bahadur shah took over the throne. Later around five more rulers of Mughals
dominated the kingdom and eventually the Mughal Empire was ended in 1862. This
alluring structure of a Badshahi mosque depicts a beautiful image of history of
sub-continent.
3:The Great Wall Of China - China

One of the greatest
wonders of the world, the great wall of China is an incredible artificial
structure that was given the honour of it's situation in the list of World
Heritage by UNESCO in 1987. This iconic structure is situated in Beijing - the
Capital city of China. This giant wall covers across various diverse
geographical features including desserts, grass lands, mountains and plateaus.
The wall expands to about 8,851.8 km (5,500 miles) from east to west of China.
They claim that this great wall of China can be over viewed through the moon,
however later it was proved by NASA that this claim is simply a fallacy or a
rumor. Despite of running in its continuous length, the wall makes a series of
connections with various different forts. This series of fortifications is made
of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials. This mega structure
took centuries in its completion and was began to built under the dynasty of
King Qin and ended-up in 16th century ,within this time period it was
diminished and then repaired again with more strong material. the reason why
this rampart was constructed was to prevail protection among the dynasty from
the invasion of other invaders like Xiongu people.
4:Temple of Artemis - Turkey

Another site famed as
one of the great wonders of ancient times- The temple of Artisem. This
remarkable construction of classic antiquity giving the great example of
civilization, was situated in Ephesus- an ancient Greek city, which later
became a major Roman city and is presently located on west-coast of modern
Turkey, in the city of Selcuk, Izmir (province). It was the home of large number
of inhabitants, making the population of about 1/4th million and it stood to be
the second largest city of Roman Empire. At first the temple was built in
approximately 800 B.C which was destroyed in 7th century, later in 500 B.C it's
reparation began which spanned about one decade. While their are no such
evidences to prove that why it was demolished. This Greek temple was designed
for its dedication to the goddess Artisem, who was renowned as 'god of
fertility'. The temple is also known as 'Temple of Diana'- a goddesses whose
power were similar to Artisem and was worshiped previously by Roman people.
This site is supposed to be one of the most great, outdoor museums of Turkey.
5:Glamis Castle - United kingdom

Lets move to the most
well-known castle of United Kingdom, situated near the village of Glamis in
Angus- Scotland. Glasmis Castle is the residing place of Earl, strathmore and
countess of kinghorne. These are the respective titles according to their
designations, the title 'Earl of kinghorne' for Patric Lyon as peerage of
Scotland (1606), the designation of earldom was replaced by 'Strathmore and
Kinghorne' and was awarded to the fourteenth Earl (1937), and other companions
including family members were given the title of 'Countess of Strathmore and
Kinghorne'.This richly embellished castle is open for all visitors and a 'tea
room' is also reserved specially for visitors. The most interesting fact about
Glamis Castle is that it is also supposed to be called as 'A Haunted house'! -
people claim that still the spirits do live within the castle. Many awful and
strange incidents have been occurred in the castle. One of it's room, referred
as room of King Malcolm, is having stubborn bloodstains, which are unable to
remove. The story behind it is that the King Malcolm was subjected a rebellious
attack by the gang and had his body cut-down, it seems to be as if somebody had
dragged his dead body and the leaked blood had deposited to the floorboard.
Whose spots are still present, Amazing! and horrific as well.
6:The Great Pyramid of Giza - Egypt

Every one knows that
any pyramid has a square base and four triangular faces or sides. As ancient
Egyptians buried their pharaohs (kings) under the pyramid, along with their
belongings, as they believed that they will live even after death. This is the
reason they used various techniques to preserve the dead bodies, which is
called a Mummy. Here we get you to the 'Great Pyramid of Giza'(also known as
Pyramid of Khufu)- one of the ancients wonders, a true man-made masterpiece. An
incredible structure of which no one can make a duplicate today. It is
estimated that the establishment of this Great Pyramid involves around
2,300,000 of heavy stones (building blocks) and it took about 23 years in it's
completion. Do you know? King Khufu, the owner of greatest Pyramid was having
smallest ever discovered sculpture in his pyramid. Well! He isn't supposed to
call as small or inferior but He is renowned as a Big leader of cruelty. It was
claimed that Great Pyramid is constructed by slaves, but after researching such
a master-piece, it was discovered by modern Egyptologists that the pyramid was
built by thousands of skilled workers rather than slaves.

One of the Worlds
Heritage site, Tikal, a ruined Maya city, is positioned in the northern Peten,
in province of Guatemala (central America). Tikal was the most dominating and
powerful city during the acme of Maya Empire, and ruled rest of the smaller
city-states. Like other cities of great Maya, Tikal was also dematerialized
around 900 A.D and was eventually left alone. Archaeological records dates back
to about 1000 B.C and by 300 B.C giving the clear evidence that Tikal was a
thriving city. The time period when Tikal reached to its apex, is supposed to
be its classic period, around 200 to 900 A.D. Throughout this time period Tikal
earned the major domination of Maya region in political, economical and
military aspects as well.The rainforests around Tikal are elegant and home to
many birds and animals, including parrots, toucans and monkeys. Undoubtedly
ruins themselves are spellbinding, and the Tikal is currently a tourist
attraction site and is important archaeological site as well.
8:Mohen jo dharo-Pakistan Sindh
Mohen jo dharo is located
at Pakistan province Sindh near city larkano its is situated near Indus River valley
it was built around 2600 BCE it is one
of the world’s earliest well established civilization. The name mohen jo dharo
is a Sindh name which means mound of dead.it was discovered by sir john marshal
in 1930.the city was well established they have stone streets, their they have
a drainage system mean while it seems to be that it was a well-established
civilization of their time. The language
written on the slaves and the stones is not understood yet. There are different
theories that how this civilization ended some people said that a earth quake
came and some are saying that the flood came and destroyed this civilization
eventually.
